The rigid  cap distributes the energy equally and in combination with the EVA padding impacts get absorbed to a minimum to protect the kids the best possible way. The reflective materials shine bright when spotted by light to enhance safety. Two elastic velcro straps and a cotton sock sleeve keep the protector in place in case of a fall. Along with the kneee and elbow pads the set includes light weight and breathable wristguards which come with a large size palm splint.
